If you saw the music video for "Blood On The Dance Floor" and bought the CD album that included this song, you would have noticed that the CD version was completely different. I call it a scam because you would normally expect to hear the same version on the album. Music companies love to occasionally rip consumers off this way.
That said, this CD single includes several versions of "Blood On The Dance Floor", including the unedited version of the music video version, known as the Refugee Camp Mix. If you liked the music video version, you'll love the Refugee Camp Mix too.

This song is one of MJ's best, very danceable and my favorite remix is the one by Refugee Camp. Oh and for all the people who don't understand the lyrics the song is talking about AIDS. Susie is a metaphor for AIDS and dancing is a metaphor for sex. The song makes a lot more sense knowing that.

Co-written by Jackson and Teddy Riley, "Blood on the Dance Floor" has some of the most confusing and totally inane lyrics in popular music history. Whatever the singer was attempting to say in this exercise is lost to the listener. The only saving grace to this release is the danceability of "The Switchblade Mix" and the bonus "Roger's Dangerous Club Mix".
This is only for die-hard fans, like myself, that scoop up every Jackson release, regardless of its quality.

Absolutely incredible that nobody notice how dangerously in pain Michael was. Yeah, it's hard to understand his words when he sings but now that I've been reading many of his lyrics it was crystal clear that he needed big time help. Morphine, They don't care about us, Ghost, Privacy, just to name a few.
UNIQUE talent. Michael, I love you more.

Majority of the songs on that album is really good but 2 bad and money is ok although....not bad for songs but not my all time favorite.
I'd say that this is the 2nd best album that I like to listen too other than my 2 all time favorites, THILLER and OFF THE WALL
I pretty much like all the albums that MJ made, even the one called invincable that came out 2001.
Also on this album...at some remix songs like it sounds like Michael singing with techno music playing on the background....but then again some others songs a little like rap music too.

Michael Jackson's "Blood On The Dance Floor" album was released back in 1997 and contained 5 new songs and 8 remixes of songs from the "History" album. The 5 new songs on this album are fantastic. The first single "Blood On The Dance Floor" is fantastic! With having zero promotion it managed to hit #1 in the UK and #42 in the US. The songs "Ghosts" and "Is It Scary" are very similar to each other but are very good. The video for "Ghosts" is one the best videos I have ever seen before. The other two songs "Morphine" and "Superfly Sister" are amazing. I also do like some of the remixes on the album, the History remix is amazing and as well as the Stranger In Moscow remix. The "Blood On The Dance Floor" album became the best selling remix ever without having any promotion. The album has sold over 6 million copies worldwide and 1.2 million copies in the US. I would recommend this to you, even if your not into remixes, the 5 new songs on this album are well worth the purchase.

The should-have-been title song "Ghosts" is exactly like how it sounds in the music video, "2 Bad"---not so much. But at least it's all enjoyable.

A cracking album that shot straight to No 1 in the UK and bursts with Michael's anger and vitriol. His voice is just amazing. Check out Ghosts/Is it Scary, This Time Around and the remixed Scream and see what I mean. Powerful stuff that's also incredibly energising. While I was formerly not a big fan of dance music the reworked tracks are treated in such a brilliant way that I am coverted.Pulsating. Recommended.

In 1997, Michael decided it was time to release a remix album. With this idea, MJ released BLOOD ON THE DANCE FLOOR: HIStory IN THE MIX. Blood on the Dance floor and Michael Jackson History is a must to have..Blood was overlook due to Michael court troubles I'm sure by many ..but his music is time less..Blood on the Dance Floor is a GREAT Party Song along with others on this CD..It's just a Great CD to get your party started..and to have along with any other Michael CD's..as for myself..with the passing of Michael Death these were the 2 I was missing from all of my Music from M......
I'm a huge Michael Jackson fan, and the new material he put on Blood on the Dance Floor is really great. It has electrifying beats and is great listening. I'm not much of a fan of remixes, but the HIStory remixes are pretty good.

Really nice cd, first 5 song are new! My favorite songs are Blood on the dance floor and Ghost. You also should definitely see the video to these songs! Specially fulll version of Ghost, movie 45 minutes!! Michael is the best!
